21 Years: Richard Linklater Official Trailer 1 (2014)
This is a super good documentary on one of my all-time favorite filmmakers–he hit right when I needed him and to see the respect that he has since earned is very enjoyable. The movie is a rather light fare with reflections and anecdotes, but it is very worth watching.

Annihilation
I feel like I already reviewed this, which likely may be the point. I really loved the special effects, characterization, and energy of this film. Also, I have a strong attraction for Jennifer Jason Leigh, but I do not know why–something from my childhood is definitely triggered by her

Ready player one
I liked this movie–not as well as the poorly written book–but still a very fun adventure romp! The plot is rather shallow, the adventure elements are predictable, but the special effects are amazing. I saw this with Fred and Jane–it was Fred’s bachelor party!

Burden
A great and highly recommended Documentary on Orange County Artist Chris Burden who has been stolen by Los Angeles. So much of this is so good–specifically, the end section in which the Artist finds his home. Just brilliant!

California Typewriter
This is a completely fantastic documentary about Typewriter culture. I recently saw it on Hulu after missing it in theaters and I am so glad I did! https://player.vimeo.com/video/180840528 Literally made me want to buy a typewriter as soon as it was over!

24 Hour Comic
This was a very fun movie that documented a 24 Hour Comic event in Portland. It was playful and fun and captured a lot of why comics still matter. A fun Documentory.
