Adventure Summary

Join the Harpers

Every great adventure begins with a mysterious invitation, and every terrible decision begins with a player saying, “Trust me, I’ve got this.” Recruited by the legendary Harpers, our heroes are tasked with investigating strange activity tied to the Red Wizards of Thay, proving almost immediately that subtle espionage is difficult when your party consists primarily of chaos disguised as adventurers. Beneath the promises of glory and secret missions lurks a simple truth: someone needs to save the Sword Coast, and unfortunately, these are the people available.

Battle in the Streets of Immaluer

The town of Immaluer was having a perfectly reasonable day right up until monsters, panic, and our heroes all arrived at the same time. As danger erupted in the streets, the party charged headlong into the conflict, demonstrating equal parts bravery, heroism, and an alarming disregard for personal safety. By the time the dust settled, the town still stood, the villains were on the run, and everyone involved had developed several exciting new opportunities for character growth.

Tracking the Thay Through the Forest

With the enemy fleeing into the wilderness, our heroes exchanged the glorious certainty of combat for the much less reliable science of “following tracks.” What followed was a trek through dark woods filled with clues, strange discoveries, and growing evidence that the Red Wizards were pursuing something far more dangerous than anyone expected. Every step deeper into the forest raised the tension, while simultaneously lowering the odds that the party would stick to the plan for more than five consecutive minutes.

The Standing Stones

At last, the trail led to an ancient circle of standing stones crackling with forgotten magic, the sort of place that practically screams, “Nothing bad has ever happened here.” As the party entered the clearing, they discovered a creature from the depths of the earth lurking among the stones: a hungry Xorn with very different ideas about visitors. Swords were drawn, initiative was rolled, and the session ended exactly where every good D&D story should: one round into a fight nobody fully understands and everyone is already committed to winning. 🎲⚔️🔥
