Session 2 – Ravenloft: The Horrors Within

The mists part once more… but escape is never freedom in Ravenloft.

Dungeon Master Louis leads Brian, Cody, Glen, and Henry deeper into the Domains of Dread as our story continues. After narrowly escaping one nightmare realm—with the cryptic aid of the mysterious Fool—the party finds themselves drawn into their next prison: a looming, haunted house perched on the edge of reality itself.

What waits inside is more than creaking floorboards and ghostly whispers. Every shadow seems alive. Every step forward feels like a mistake. And every door may lead not to safety—but to something far worse.

As tension rises and sanity frays, the group must confront not only the horrors lurking within this cursed home, but the darkness creeping into their own hearts. In Ravenloft, survival is never guaranteed… and the true terror may already be inside you.

🎲 Will they uncover the secrets of the house?
👁️ Can they trust the Fool’s guidance?
🕯️ Or will this domain claim them forever?

Step back into the mist and join us for Session 2 of Ravenloft: The Horrors Within.

Mordentshire

Mordentshire is the largest community in Mordent. Sturdy fisherfolk work the town docks and, after dusk, fill crowded tavern common rooms. Cold winds frequently blow in from Arden Bay. When they stop, they’re replaced by a shroud of fog the locals call “the breath of the dead.”
To the chagrin of the town’s no-nonsense populace, Mordentshire is home to a small community of scholars and adventurers. Saulbridge Sanitarium provides a refuge for the ill while also welcoming researchers from other domains. Across town, an unassuming herbalist shop is run by Rudolph van Richten (see chapter 5), an investigator of all things monstrous and mysterious.
The lands around Mordentshire host two prominent estates. Heather House is the home of the Weathermay family, regional lords who count numerous heroes among their number. To the east stands Gryphon Manor, the notorious House on Gryphon Hill. The mansion has a history of violence, tragedy, and hauntings and is the home of the domain’s Darklord, Lord Wilfred Godefroy.
