Gender Trouble: Feminism and the Subversion of Identity by Judith Butler|
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This is a hard one to review. It is complex. It reviews a lot of important thinkers and provides some interesting ideas around identity and gender. But it is VERY hard to read. The summaries of other philosophers are often written with sarcasm and wit and are designed to challenge the reader’s assumptions around feminism. I guess. I read this with my mom and I am glad we got through it.
