man–amazing read. not really the book for me, but still by the end this book has completely transformed and hooked you.

A political, brutal, feminist, shocking look at south america over time–that honestly reads as fiction, which is nice, but is still shocking and magical and full of blood and dirt and love and everything else…

finding it hard to talk about write about this book–I guess it is a book one needs to read to really grok. definitely not for everyone, in fact likely not for most people–there is a weird sideways sensitivity to much of the writing. the reader is always caught unaware, but that is not really the point. In fact, the point is not really the point.

A history written from a box of letters, I guess.

Glad I read it and would universally encourage anyone even remotely interested in this to read it–it is a long read, which in reflection is odd, cause it moves quickly and consistently.

read it, I guess is my final answer…still not sure what the question even might have been…maybe live and love? Trust whores and not politicians…something more profound, likely, but in any event, a good book…again…read it.
