 Paris in the Present Tense by Mark HelprinMy rating: 4 of 5 stars Super fun book. Feels more like a summer read then I was expecting. There is some absolutely perfect writing in this (stuff in cafe’s, music, etc.), a lot of awesome locational observations (L.A., Paris, etc.) & some brilliant characters. Strongly recommended for book carnivores, but it does not really pan out into any kind of universally great ideas. A fun read, with some great observations and sweet writing. View all my reviews |
