Always fun to open with a new song on a fresh tour.

“46 Days” has some new dark jamming that I really like–the Free also has some of this deep funk from the Mike side that I could use a lot more of these days

Paige is clearly have the best life.

“Theme from the Bottom” opens with a very nice minimal jam–the stick work from Jon is spot on.

“Drift While You’re Sleeping” is a monster that I need to spend more time listening to–the sing along chorus lyrics is silly–the love them is a little much, maybe too hippy at some level–but the BIG guitar work is complex and interesting, I really love the rain sounds Paige is throwing down. There is a march — something kind of jazzy happening in the drums. This is another song that will take Mike a while to get behind–there is no funk here yet, but I get the sense that it is coming.. the solos are perfectly placed and emerge out of the chaos of the jam which is that refreshing Phish effect–the Hose that Santana talked about–I really don’t think I will ever tire of that. We Move. Very fun way to close a set out.
