St. Isaac the Syrian

Why do you increase your bonds?

Take hold of your life before your light grows dark and you seek help and do not find it.

This life has been given to you for repentance; do not waste it in vain
pursuits.

  1. The concept of House is very popular in Catholic teaching–I am not sure I understand all the implications–there is more then just where you are comfortable, where you belong, and where you have possessions.I think that House may mean more to normal people than just that stuff.

  2. I think I have said this before, but the notion of greater makes me uncomfortable–I am not sure the spirituality is a contest.I was also thinking about \”nature prefers mistake free action\” or some such line from Michael McClure and I thought that this is true–the lesser may just be the more unnatural, which (in the right mindset) is just seen as \”cute\” or \”learning\” and not lesser or wrong.
