  • This week we are guided by the Two of Pentacles

The image is of a man standing by the waves of the sea, deftly juggling two pentacles that represent juggling different situations in life (for example, work and home). It is about choices and priorities. You might feel as if you don’t have the heart to choose one thing over the other. You might choose to focus on one thing and ignore another temporarily, keeping both alive. However, this allows neither to thrive.

Sometimes, juggling two things can also be a lifesaver, allowing you to have a failsafe in the event things don’t go your way.

The Two is, as always, bound up in the forces of change, and of balance. Like its brothers, the Two of Pentacles can mean good or ill, but it as a strong indicator that the status quo will be disrupted. There will be challenges in your future, but your fate is largely in your own hands in the sense that the final outcome depends own how you respond to these challenges. The suit of this card suggests your best outcome is one that can be reached through prioritization, time-management, multi-tasking and careful planning.

  • This week we are guided by the Two of Wands

This card depicts a man with one wand in his hands, the other put aside. It is about settling on a decision. Wands are about enthusiasm, and the kind of energy required for passionate decision making doesn’t work when you are thinking about two things. It strongly suggests that a partnership will lead to your success.

The two wands show that you have two alternatives from which to make a choice. Both appear to be good choices, or two ways through which you can still be able to achieve the same results. However, you can select only one.

  • For this week’s reading, I drew the Empress.

The Empress sits surrounded by symbols of abundance. The Empress is a symbol of creation, the giver of life. The Fool has decided what he is going to create with the tools he has at his disposal, and is forging forward with the glimpse of reality and success at the back of his mind. The Empress reminds him that (just like newly planted grain) new creations are fragile and need require patience and nurturing. Love is the only way to guarantee fruition.

Sometimes, this card can signify the dark side of a mother, her possessive and jealously energies.

Traditionally associated with strong maternal and feminine influences, the presence of the Empress is excellent news if you are looking for harmony in your marriage or hoping to start a family. Any artistic endeavors you are currently associated with are also likely to be more successful, as this card often finds those exposed to strong bursts of creative abundance or artistic energy. That creative energy may not be in the form of a painting or art project, however: This card also suggests a very strong possibility of pregnancy — not necessarily yours, but you might be seeing a new addition to your extended family or the family of a close friend in the near future! You need patience, which will lead to your fulfillment.

  • This week we are guided by Justice

A woman sits between two pillars, holding scales in one hand and an upraised sword in the other. The Fool is searching for another way, another goal and motivation for his life. He needs the judgment of someone wise and fair.

This card indicates that sometimes justice might appear to be unfair and cold, but it restores a sense of reason and creates a natural balance.

Justice can be a literal representation of justice or law, and it is a very good card to find in your spread if you have acted with kindness and fairness towards others and, especially, if you have been a victim. It is a significant indicator of fairness and a positive resolution, although how and what sort will depend on your own experiences. If you have been unfair, abusive, or otherwise shady and immoral in your dealings, though, pay heed. For the unjust, this card is, at best, a dire warning to change your ways before retribution falls upon you, and, at worst, a simple statement that it is already too late. In neutral cases, it may simply be telling you to seek out balance in your life.

  • Seven of Pentacles

This image is of a farmer leaning on his spade and looking at pentacles that are growing like fruits. He has done all the work and all that is left is to wait and see what transpires. Having already waited for a while, he has started to become anxious and worries whether the fruits on this tree will ever be mature enough for harvesting.

The card suggests that you cannot achieve true success unless you are determined and refuse to surrender to doubt. Your patience may be running out, but you need to resist the temptation to see all that has happened as a disappointment. Falling prey to impatience would be a mistake. It is not yet time to reap the fruits of your endeavors.

A balanced card by nature the Seven suggests you will avoid failure, but fall short of runaway success in an endeavor. Or, equally possible, that you will achieve your goals, but not in the time frame you had hoped for. You will face setbacks, and in order to succeed you will need vision, perseverance and to take care to avoid becoming too hesitant or timid. Progress may be slow or difficult, but long-term success is possible with your investment.

  • This week we are guided by the Six of Cups

The two children depicted on this card are accompanied by six flower-filled cups. The older boy is bending to offer the girl his cup as she gazes up at him with a smile. The image suggests looking back at the simple happiness of childhood.

This card suggests something returning to your life that prompts you to recall a time from the past. It advises that you should focus on the joy of the moment and the satisfaction it offers. There could be someone returning to your life that brings you happiness. You can remember shared times in the past and begin to create new happy memories together.

The Six of Cups is rooted deep in the past, representing nostalgia, but it is also a card closely bound to your happiness. It suggests that your family, your old friends, perhaps even past lovers, are in the process of adding greatly to the joys in your life, and might signal a reunion. This card may also refer to past efforts, labors of love, and personal projects rewarding you, usually in an emotional sense, rather than financial.

  • lovers

On the Lovers, a man and woman are surrounded by symbols of love and growth. Their hands indicate the path ahead. The Fool is a junction and he needs to decide which way to turn.

The Lovers card indicates that you need to make a decision. You may have decided to go down one road, but now another appeals to you. Making the wrong decision will have grave consequences. The decision might not be about love, but this card always indicates that you have to choose between two options.

Your first instinct will most likely be to associate this card as representing love and relationships, but, much like love, it does not possess a simple nature. Not only does love comes in many forms, but the Lovers may indicate important or conflicting choices ahead in your life. This is bad, in that the choices are generally mutually exclusive paths to two very different futures, but also good, in that it also confirms that at least one of those paths will take you to a good place. As such, if you happen to find it in your spread, you should consider it carefully, but not fear it. It tells a story of tough decisions, likely painful and involving internal struggles, but that the correct decision and a positive outcome are within your grasp
