Married, Father, United
Inland Empire by Melissa Sue AndersonMy rating: 5 of 5 stars A great think piece of Lynch’s final film. Written by that lesbian you bummed cigarettes from while reading Derrida in the cool off-campus café. The book starts super strong. Has good bits on acting. Devolved into reflections on #MeToo and representation — including some interesting asides on the male gaze. And finishes with a reflection on Inland Empire’s uplifting ending. A good read View all my reviews |

This is the thirteenth Star Wars day marathon. I have completed seven, and failed twice.

Phantom Menace is Jacks first love.

It is not my favorite. Gun-gin “jive” gets worse every year. The laser sword legacy theory stuck out a lot this time. I hate midi-chlorians

They did not ask any questions—torture to trigger the force connection

Jabba the hut dies. Yoda dies. Mythical creatures die.

Let’s go! Kid edition.

Three lessons.
1. The Jedi Don’t Own The Light
2. The Legacy of The Jedi is Failure
(3.) A true Jedi Knight wouldn’t interfere in the “balance,” despite people getting hurt.
(3a.) A person willing to save anyone at all costs
Flight deck scenes.

Total cluster.
