Keys From The Golden Vault, live from Alakazam Comics in Irvine, CA, continues this week with the conclusion of the sixth heist, Masterpiece Imbrogli. The party captures Elix the Saint, steals his key, battles some marauding Hill Giants seeking Bigby, and raids the Agile Hand thieves’ guild. It was a relatively flat and fast encounter, defeating Guildmaster Dusk and recovering the Constantori’s Portrait.

Days in a Haze with a Blaze (Rouge played by Travis) is based on Calendar Man.
Julie Newman (Ranger played by Lance) is Ra’s al Ghul. Plated member of the Golden Vault. Lining the Pocket the Lion (Wizard played by Dylan) is a chromatic orb casting, fire breathing familiar member of the Golden Vault.
Ra’s al Ghul. (Wizard Necromancer played by Cody) is just a broken build controlling 12 skeleton warrior in the League of Shadows
Shame (Fighter gunslinger played by Richard) is based on some cowboy villain from the TV show.
Snow on the Mountain (Fighter played by Lewis) is mentored by Two-Face. Plated member of the Golden Vault.
Top Card (Rogue played by Glenn) is Cat Women without the slapstick. Filled member of the Golden Vault.
Two Moon Spoiled Custard (Elf Fighter played by Henry) is the Joker’s step brother who watches a lot of YouTube with excellent vision.

Jack, Cody, DM Richard, and I drove up for Saturday Strategicon and had a great time! Jack and I have perfected the bring nothing strategy–we steal a pen from the hotel registration (along with dum-dums), buy Dice Envy random dice pack for $10 which is a steal and includes a pouch that we use for carry all our supplies. We generally do Paint and Take for our mini’s but it was crowded today so we bought prepainted plastic which fit nicely in the Dice Envy Random Dice pouch. We got a character sheet from the D&D Adventures league which we fold into the pouch (and use as scratch paper).

Jack also bought a Star Trek Phaser — AUTHENTIC!

Cody did an amazing job painting this tortle mini–he did not win, but was a triumph never the less.

Jack wore the triumphant crown for some board game tournament–we did not get into an indie game demo this year, but next time for sure. Always one of the best parts of Con is playing newly crafted games.

Jack won Nuclear War again this con. Huge propaganda phase lead to Cody loosing early and killing me on retaliation.

We played in the Savage Worlds Rift living campaign. Alex dragged us in and we had a blast. Very fun crew.

This years D&D Epic was very interactive and a ton of fun–the best part was our table playing Bregan D’aerthe and winning the entire thing!

A super fun convention–too expensive and the hotel really sucks but over all a very very good time.
