Earlybird Breakfast Burrito

Fear gests better the more I experience it

The Next Best Breakfast Burrito Club‘s 26th location was Earlybird Breakfast Burrito at the anti-mall in Costa Mesa (in the back behind Havana’s by the bathrooms)

A new high for the FISTS metrics (Flavor profile, Ingredient balance, Seasoning level, Texture, & Spice) — we have really seen a marked increase in over all foody qualities since Nick began picking our spots.

Also, some of the judging bias can really be seen these scores–pretty much everyone agrees that both LJ’s and Nicks should be much closer to the top!

The One Bite score (which I describe as “if you would drive to another country it is a ten, another state is a nine, another county is an eight, and another city is a seven” but other judges do interpret it differently based on the Barstool Pizza scale–Everyone knows the rules!) has been really shaping up to be the decider for a spot these days. And a simple pro tip is that cutting your burrito in half almost always add half a point to your score (by may analysis).

This is a new metric I am looking at–basically the delta between the One Bite and FISTS score, the middle is where the action is in my opinion.

We continue to expand and explore Orange County in search of the best breakfast burritos.
