Lost Birds: A Leaphorn, Chee & Manuelito Novel by Anne Hillerman My rating: 3 of 5 stars Trigger warning for adoption. And Native American. And Women. And Gambling. And Alcoholism. And Mental Health. And Mothers. I guess. I mean I am not a mystery, or who done-its, reader and I found this book rather difficult. The touchstone emotional space is all very traditional family, but the challanges are all super heavy and dealt with rather shallowly. I do not know what I was hoping for, maybe a more creative less self aware book. Maybe insight into the human condition that was not obvious. Something.
