Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE by Phil KnightMy rating: 5 of 5 stars A fantastic read–perhaps the greatest ghost written work of all time. The authors ability to hide the authentic Knight (“…and a broken heart from which I would never heal..” is the tell) behind this CEO-who-could-do-no-wrong mythology is EPIC. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who needs to understand that the entire foundation was “making them blue” — a great great book. And the stuff on Pre…over the top…The Children of Oregon have never had a more wicked supporter of the values and ethics from which they emerged. Kesey comes close, but when the talk turns to Pre it is really beautifully written. Spectacular. Gates said it best…a great book. View all my reviews |
