Cure @ Rose Bowl

First things First–go see Joy Formidable. They are better then you can imagine live.

Jack and I drove in at 1:00 PM and got great parking

The weather was HOT and the CROWDS were insane–show was criminally oversold

Started off with Kaelan Mikla in the Chill out Tent–cute goth girls are always a good opener

Twilight Sad who were ok–they were really early, it was hot, there were sound problems, it was OK-but this Scottish band needs to be indoors on a Thursday night in Hollywood if you know what I mean

Back over to the chill out tent for Chelsea Wolf who was OK.

Then we got some food and stuff and hung out. Checked out Mogwai who were STOKED to be there and took the crowd on an epic space rock voyage

We then hit Joy Formidable who absolutely killed in every single way

We did not see Deftones–laid on the grass listening to a band I still don’t get, but they are from Sacto and I had to report to Brett

Pixies hate their fans.

Cure killed–doing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tour–basically a predictable set, with out a lot of improvisation or fire; but, very worth seeing.
