The Story: (hide) FEAR ITSELF TIE-IN! The situation is becoming increasingly clear: there is literally nothing which can avert Juggernaut is marching step by step towards Utopia. However, an offer by the Serpent’s servant puts human and mutant at each others’ throats. In the third part of the epic Fear Itself confrontation, the enemy within is as big a threat as the enemy without. The clock is ticking. And for one X-Man, it’s already too late.
I picked this up at Alakazam. I read it at Peets.
Great issue–the power combo attempts to take down Juggernaut are great–even the numbering of the plans is awesome. The Mayors military betrayal is well written. Scott acknowledging that there are so few of us left–this will be his undoing. Emma going to smother Hope with a pillow. All of that is well handled.
And the return to form of Magik. Still one of my favorite mutants from the moment I met her–she is great here. A very clever girl with super skills. I very much enjoyed this issue from start to finish.
And the letters column! That was some great spin on the reboot–a very good issue all the way around.
