I picked this up at Alakazam. I read it at Water Polo in El Toro.

I am really not sure what to make of this.

The art is my first issue–I mean this is one of Marvel’s flagship books, right? the art is just not up to par in my opinion. Formulaic and not really impressive or memorable in any real way–kid has talent, but needs to start taking more risks with paneling for sure.

The story focuses on Spider-Women. I cannot think of a character I care less about in the entire Marvel Universe.

The bad guys are AWESOME, but why they are doing this is completely ignored. Additinoally, the bad guys are fairly clueless and unfocued for such super stars. Amazingly disappointed with this, if we had them act up to their potential this comic may have had something.

And the return of Ultron? Really? Again? Didn’t this Avengers Team start with Ultron? Seems repetitive & not really designed to take the characters anywhere that I am interested to go.

With the Avengers, I am evidently mildly amused when it is great & out raged when it is ok…very strange….
