Inner Paths to Outer Space

Proving once again that you CAN judge a book by its cover, this collection of essays is exactly what you would expect.

I picked it up to get in the mood for Phish returning to the Road, and was not disappointed by a lot of what I read–the stuff by Rick Strassman is suitably academic, the Ede Frecska stuff is suitably out there, and the stuff by Slawek Wojtowciz (including a lot of the internal art wok) is suitable wacky!

I find the reviews for this over on Amazon to be a large part of the problem in talking about this kind of book–taken for what it is it is fine, trying to build it into a book of Philosophy or some kind of challange to the status quo seems to be stretching it a bit–I mean we have had books like this for a while–I got this at the Public Library–it is fairly mainstream thinking these days…

To quote the text “This is not metaphor”.
